Melbourne is getting a little taste of Tasmania, with the city’s very-own Sauna Boat set to open this weekend.
Now, you may be wondering if you’ll be dunking in the Yarra (thankfully not). The floating sauna experience is going to be based in Docklands, right in the heart of the city offering hot and cold therapy right from the deck of a custom-built sauna boat.
Get yourself (responsibly) toasty warm in the sauna, then plunge into the ice baths located right on deck while taking in uninterrupted water and city views.
Sessions start at 7am and you can book out the whole space for a group of mates from $260, or jump in with some new friends (read: strangers) from $65. They'll also have a sauna master on-hand to make sure everything is up to even Goldilocks' high standards.
“Wellness is becoming more intentional, people are making time to pause, reset, and reconnect with their bodies. Sauna Boat Melbourne is built for that ritual, where contrast therapy meets calm design in a unique, waterside setting,” the genius behind Sauna Boat, Daniel Bush says.
“We’re bringing the same concept that’s been such a hit in Tasmania to Melbourne. where people step off feeling revived, recharged, and completely reset. As a lifelong sauna enthusiast and the builder behind both boats, I couldn’t be more excited to share the experience with the Melbourne community.”
The original, Tasmanian iteration of Sauna Boat is based just opposite Bruny Island at Kettering, in Oyster Cove Marina and is designed for intimate groups of mates looking to warm up and refresh in pristine coastal waters.
Sauna Boat Melbourne’s is now open for bookings, hit up their website and Instagram for more info.
